This thing we call Judaism is a wonderful complicated culture bringing together things we think of as religion, ancestry, nationality, culture, language, cuisine and more.
Neither this culture nor those of us who come together to study it are simple or simple-minded. “Intro to Judaism” is not the same thing as “Judaism for Dummies.”
Readings will be available for those who want to go deeper, but no advanced preparation is required.
Topics Covered include
- What is Judaism + Core Jewish Bookshelf
- Jewish Calendar
- Shabbat
- Theology + Prayer
- Lifecycle
- American Jewish Community + the Modern State of Israel
This class is capped at 20 participants.
Invites to zoom meetings will be sent upon registration.
